– Self analysis of current diet
– What a healthy heart diet looks like.
– Stress reduction meditation

Heart healthy foods up close and personal
– Reversing atherosclerosis. Is it possible?
– Best foods and why
– Naturally occurring plant chemicals -polyphenols, resveratrol
– Omega 3s and heart healthy fats
– Intermitten Fasting shown to reduce atherosclerotic plaques
– Gut health / microbiome mediates heart health
– Heartmath technique – synchronising heart/brain waves
– Implementing heart healthy strategies – including sample menu.

Outcomes: 

By the end of this course the student will be able to:

– Understand how dietary patterns and food choices influence cardiovascular health. 
– Learn the role that chronic stress, inflammation, cholesterol and insulin resistance also contribute. 
– Learn lifestyle strategies to reduce their risks and enhance their overall health.

Lesley Barret has always had a keen interest in matters of health and wellbeing. She first completed a degree in health psychology and counselling, later becoming a Naturopath & nutritionist and finally a clinical Hypnotherapist.  Over the past 25years she has worked in both clinical and corporate settings with many people helping to support them on their path to good health.  Lesley believes all learning should be engaging making healthy eating simple, achievable and enjoyable.
