Course Summary

Get ahead in your studies! This course supports learners to access pathways to accredited training, and ultimately lead to employment. Learners will experience a positive learning environment to improve their confidence in learning. Participation will also enhance learners’ employability skills through individual and group activities and there is a strong focus on oral and written communication skills.

Includes:

  • an introduction to the health sector, employment opportunities and responsibilities
  • hygiene and infection control in a health services setting
  • customer service and communication skills in health services
  • conduct, duty of care and confidentiality requirements in healthcare
  • workplace health and safety
  • medical terminology

Runs: regularly throughout the year 

Location: Box Hill & Lilydale campuses
