Course Summary

Kick start your studies in childhood education!
Are you interested in pursuing a course to assist you to work with children? This program will introduce you to the growing sector of both early childhood (0–6 years) and education support (6 years+) roles, and will provide you with a smooth and confident transition to either the Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care  (CHC30121) or Certificate III in School Based Education Support (CHC30221) course and its requirements. Topics covered within the  program include: 

  • Understanding children 0-12 years
  • Ensuring safety & wellbeing
  • Diversity & inclusion
  • Legalities & compliance
  • Understanding children’s developmental needs and interests

The program will be delivered by an experienced early childhood educator with the focus on “hands on” learning

Runs: regularly throughout the year, 10 x 4hour sessions

Location: Elgar & Lilydale campuses

Cost: No cost to Box Hill Students (eligibility criteria apply)
