Course Summary

This is your first step into the healthcare sector. You will thrive in a positive learning environment designed to build your employability skills or prepare you for further study. This entry level course focuses on developing skills in learning, reading, writing, speaking, listening, and numeracy whilst drawing on subject matter and materials from the health sector.

Course highlights:

  • introduction to the health sector, including employment opportunities and responsibilities
  • hygiene and infection control in a healthcare setting
  • customer service and communication skills specific to health services
  • conduct, duty of care, and confidentiality requirements in healthcare
  • workplace health and safety
