Course Summary

Introduction to the life and work of the extraordinary George Orwell, novelist, social commentator and journalist whose experiences in Colonial Burma, engagement in the Spanish Civil War, and close knowledge of society’s “down and outs” instilled in him a resentment of all forms of social injustice.
