Course Summary

This is a course ideal for people wanting to broaden their knowledge and understanding of the French language and culture and who want to communicate with friends, family members, colleagues and people in the local community or in countries where French is spoken.

This course covers general topics such as:

  • use of comparative
  • use of indirect pronouns: y & en
  • COI & COD pronouns: le, la, lui, leur
  • Talking about recommendations using: devoir + inf and il faut + inf
  • use of adverbs of place: à l’intérieur de, au dessus de, etc…
  • use of the tonic pronouns : moi, toi, lui, elle, etc…
  • relative pronouns: qui, que, à qui, avec qui, etc…

By the end of this course the student will be able to:

  • compare different types of places to stay in France or a French speaking country

  • talk about French paperwork (demarche administrative)
  • organize a trip in France
  • talk about lodging and the different types available
  • describing a place & giving details
