This course is designed for people who want to use Vietnamese to communicate with family and friends, with people in the workplace, for travel purposes and for a better understanding of Vietnamese people through cultural insights and inter-cultural skills.

Topics will include:

  • Going to the market
  • Asking and telling the time
  • Talking about the weather
  • Booking a room and travelling
  • Getting to know a friend
  • At the coffee shop
  • Daily activities
  • At the shoe shop

By the end of this course students should be able to:

  • engage in simple conversations and exchange information about their families and personal interests;
  • order food and drinks, read a menu;
  • book a room and use basic expressions for room service;
  • describe the weather;
  • making arrangements to go out(time, date , place etc…)
  • have an understanding and appreciation of the values and customs of Vietnamese people;
  • write basic sentences about topics such as family, work and food.

Vietnamese Elementary 1 or about 20 hours of previous study.

IF YOU HAVE NOT COMPLETED THE PREVIOUS LEVEL AT CAE, YOU NEED TO CONTACT CAE FOR A SKILL ASSESSMENT PRIOR TO ENROLLING.

N.B. CAE withdrawal policy does not allow for refund or transfer once the course has started in the event that the level of the class is not suitable.
