Course Summary

This course will help you step confidently into the automotive industry with a ten day program delivered in partnership with the Victorian Automobile Chamber of Commerce (VACC). This course prepares you for employment across a wide range of automotive roles, including apprenticeship pathways.

With a strong focus on employability and workplace readiness, you’ll build the essential skills you need to pursue apprenticeship opportunities in light vehicle and related automotive fields. You’ll develop industry specific knowledge, learn how to communicate effectively, manage workplace expectations, and understand and follow health and safety standards in an automotive environment.

Throughout the program, you’ll take part in site visits, hear from industry guest speakers, and get hands on experience through practical workshops.

Through its partnership with VACC, this course gives you access to real industry insights, strengthens your employability skills, and positions you to shift confidently into the next gear of your career.

Cost: No cost – government funded (eligibility criteria required) 

When: Monday to Friday, 3rd – 14th August (10 days) 8.30am – 2.30pm

Location: Elgar Campus, Box Hill Institute, 465 Elgar Road.
