Course Summary
Gaining the Edge is a confidence building course with a focus on the skills required for working in early childhood education and care.
There are three (3) modules:
- GTE Learning to Learn This module covers topics such as lifelong learning, understanding coursework and assessments and communication skills for VET.
- GTE Resilience Learners will understand what resilience is, how to develop academic resilience as well as develop strategies to respond to stress and explore the concept of goal setting. The unit touches on boundaries and assertive communication
- GTE Digital Literacy This module covers the basic digital literacy skills required to produce and access the documents required for their course.
Runs: regularly throughout the year
Location: City, Box Hill and Lilydale campuses
Cost: No fee to student. Course is Government funded (eligiblilty critera apply)
