Course Summary

This course is designed as an introduction to painting with watercolour.  Students will develop confidence in mixing colour and basic watercolour painting techniques including laying washes, colour glazing and lifting out.  Enjoy painting in the comfort of your own home as you explore this expressive and interesting painting medium.

Please bring to your first class the following materials:
-Ruler
-Eraser
-Set of Watercolour paints, either pans or tubes are fine. If you are using a pans set, please make sure that the paints are unwrapped before class starts.
-Watercolour Brushes: A range of different sizes, some round and some flat.
-Masking fluid
-Watercolour paper, 250gsm or higher

Notification of a class cancellation will be advised 48 hours prior to the course commencement date. We advise to purchase your materials once you have received email confirmation that your class is proceeding as scheduled. All efforts are made to ensure that our classes proceed to avoid disappointment.

This course is for complete beginners or students who have some experience of painting and wish to gain confidence in the medium of watercolour.  Useful for people who are developing folio work or who are looking for a portable painting method to capture images of their travels in painterly form or for those who want to enjoy painting purely for relaxation.
