It’s fun, portable, and seriously musical! Learn the basic techniques to get you quickly playing the ukulele: fingering chords, simple strumming patterns and some nifty tricks to make it sound like you’re a seasoned expert. Traditional as well as contemporary songs will be used to explore these techniques.
About Musician Jeff Harrison
Jeff Harrison is an instrumental musician, vocalist, composer, teacher and performer with 30 years of experience across a broad range of fields and disciplines. These include film soundtracks for S.B.S T.V, extensive performance history at a wide range of festivals (from Port Fairy to Woodford), residencies at many Melbourne venues, as well as facilitating several instrumental music classes and community music groups.
He has studied Sitar and Raga in India on three separate study tours, and holds a Diploma in Music (Jazz and Popular) from M.I.T. Jeff began teaching instrumental music in the early 90’s at Fretted Instruments and Clements Music and joined the teaching staff at the C.A.E in 2005. In 2018 Jeff toured Japan and performed live in the city of Fukuoka.
