Helen Ryder

This course provides vocal technique skills, suitable for the amateur enthusiast with little or no experience.

Are you a bit anxious about performing but keen to develop singing skills for pure enjoyment or even for further development? This course is for you. 

Helen Ryder is a Melbourne-based singer and songwriter with 20 years' experience in live performance and recording. She has sung in many genres - pop, country, soul, blues and jazz - as a soloist and as a backing vocalist. Helen has performed at the Aria Awards with the Whitlams, at the Darling Harbour Jazz Festival, and she opened for Vika and Linda Bull, The Badloves and Russell Morris. In 2015, Helen released Someday Love, 11 tracks of country-soul-nfused-pop, recorded with some of Australia's finest musicians, and featured in The Age and Sydney Morning Herald with airplay on ABC Radio’s The Inside Sleeve nationally, on RRR and PBS in Melbourne, and on FBI, 2SER and Eastside Radio in Sydney. In 2017, Helen released her follow-up single and video Birds. Helen continues to perform in Melbourne and Sydney while writing for her next album release. With many years' teaching experience, Helen shares her knowledge and experience inspiring students to enjoy the art of singing in a relaxed environment, while providing feedback and support for all levels of student expertise.
