Lane Cormick

Build on present knowledge and develop skills and powers of observation.

Lane Cormick is an established Contemporary artist. His work has been featured in several exhibitions at key galleries and museums, including the Australian Center for Contemporary Art and the Daine Singer. 

Lane’s work draws from a wide array of influences including the aesthetics of the industrial and functional, investigation of skill and technique, performance, music, modernist and contemporary culture. These influences feed into an art practice that is open-ended and without predictable outcome.

MATERIALS REQUIREMENTS – PLEASE BRING TO CLASS:

Brushes: Bristle flat #10 $ #4, 1 sable or squirrel hair brush

Glass jar with lid

Rag

Palette knife (medium)

Palette ($2 shop, white ceramic)

1 Stretched Canvas or Canvas board approx. 40cm X 50 cm or bigger.

Your choice of acrylic or oil paint 40 ml tubes in the following colours:
Cadmium Red medium, Cadmium Blue medium, Cadmium Yellow medium, Black, White,

2 or 3 visual references of what you want to paint a picture of; one will be chosen to start painting from.

Notification of a class cancellation will be advised 48 hours prior to the course commencement date. We advise to purchase your materials once you have received email confirmation that your class is proceeding as scheduled. All efforts are made to ensure that our classes proceed to avoid disappointment.
