Shlomo Zimmer grew up with an inspirational melting pot of cultures, food and traditions, from North Africa to Eastern Europe. Join Shlomo at the Journal Canteen as he presents a range of tantilizing mezze and souk food favourites such as:

Babba Ganush

Whole roasted cauliflower with tahini sauce

Spiced tomato salad with preserved lemon and coriander

Labneh with zaatar, tomatoes and olives

Shawarma salad – street meat dish with spiced rice, home style

BBQ corn with cumin and mustard seeds

Maamoul – date and chocolate pastry
