Course Summary

This course is designed for students at all skill levels interested in exploring botanical line drawing. In the workshop you will learn the fundamentals of line drawing along with the key principles of crosshatching and shading, an essential drawing technique for describing volume and light, using pencil and pen.

During the course we will use different techniques to make lines and shapes to be able to draw flowers precisely. We will work from photographs and a still life flower arrangement. Lots of demonstrations and personal instruction provided!

Please ensure you have the following materials for each session:

Paper, pencils, erasers, sharpener and a range of pens with points that allow you to draw different line weights.

 

Notification of a class cancellation will be advised 48 hours prior to the course commencement date. We advise to purchase your materials once you have received email confirmation that your class is proceeding as scheduled.
