COURSE SUMMARY

This class is designed for students at all skill levels interested in exploring botanical line drawing. In the workshop you will learn the fundamentals of line drawing along with the key principles of crosshatching, an essential drawing technique for describing volume and light using pencil and pen. In this class we will use different techniques to make lines and shapes to be able to draw flowers accurately and we will work from photographs and a still life flower arrangement. Lots of demonstrations and personal instruction provided!

MATERIALS REQUIREMENTS

Please bring the following to class:

Paper, pencils, erasers, sharpener and a range of pens with points that allow you to draw different line weights
