An acquaintance with Latin and Roman culture adds to European travel. Refine and complete the study of Latin in the company of the poet, Horace. Read some of his enduring works and learn more of the challenging transition from republic to empire in Rome.

Students complete their survey of Latin grammar and in particular learn the grammatical structures of indirect speech in Latin.

Students will be able to read and translate text that contains a considerable amount of original Latin verse.

Latin 6 or equivalent of about 100 hours of previous study.

Students will be supplied with details for materials and textbooks on enrolment.

Suitable for students who have completed Latin 6 or have a general overview of Latin grammar.
