This course is designed for people who want to broaden their understanding and communication skills in Korean or those who would like to continue learning the language for enjoyment and cultural insight. The content is presented in an accessible and non-threatening way and opportunities are constantly provided for students to communicate in Korean.

In this course the following topics will be covered.

  • Future tense
  • Possibilities
  • Some places of interest in Korea
  • Shopping
  • Introduction of registers in verb endings
  • Honorific suffix and various forms

By the end of this course students should be able to:

  • use future tense in sentences;
  • able to describe possibilities and impossibilities;
  • be familiar with some of the places of interest in Korea and know how to get there;
  • do shopping with confidence;
  • use appropriate verb registers in conversation in different social situations;
  • understand and use various honorific forms appropriately.

Korean Elementary 3 or the equivalent of about 50 hours of previous study.

IF YOU HAVE NOT COMPLETED THE PREVIOUS LEVEL AT CAE, YOU NEED TO CONTACT CAE FOR A SKILL ASSESSMENT PRIOR TO ENROLLING.
