Course Summary

Become familiar with basic woodworking tools and learn elemental techniques to get you started with wood work. Under the guidance of a professional, students will build their own box picture frame up to ‘A3’ in size.

Session 1

An introduction to woodworking tools and their safe use. Instructor led demonstrations and hands on practise. (please confirm?)

Session 2

Frame a small ‘work on paper’ of your choice, such as a drawing, photograph, certificate, etc. Students will be assisted in making their own frames using both hand and power tools. The key framing methods learned will enable students to develop their own framing designs and solutions for future projects.
