This one-day course helps students revise the labels (noun, verb, adjective, etc), identify phrases and clauses (main and subordinate), subject and verb.
It outlines the main forms of the verb (present, past and future), and the active and passive voice.
There are practical exercises to do together in class – changing the verb tenses in a passage, finding what’s wrong with a sentence and fixing it, and all course participants are encouraged to join in.
There is a set of notes for the course which has answers to the exercises at the back .
