Artist Anne Thoday imparts the technique of eco printing using leaves and other plant matter to print on a silk scarf and fine art paper. Learn about the safe use of household materials as mordants (mordants can be used to fix colours and /or change colours that the leaves would otherwise print).
Students will learn:
- What plants can be used for eco printing.
- How to prepare fabric for eco printing.
- How to use simple, safe mordants from household solutions.
- Placements of plant materials and interactions.
No previous experience is necessary.
