Designed to help Digital SLR photographers further expand their knowledge of photographic techniques. Participants will learn a variety of photo skills, ideas and approaches to foster creativity with their camera. Some experience with a Digital SLR is essential.

You will be exposed to a range of photographic techniques, ideas and approaches, and be encouraged to be more creative by expanding your overall visual awareness.

  • Digital SLR camera handling skills
  • Shutter speeds
  • Lenses and depth of field for selective focus.
  • Lighting – indoor and outdoor lighting techniques & flash.
  • File types JPEG or RAW?
  • Post-processing
  • Composition, close-ups and people.
  • Travel tips and hints.

Some experience with a Digital SLR camera is essential - preferably having attended Digital SLR Photography first.

Please bring your DSLR camera and ensure that there is plenty of space on the memory card along with a fully charged battery. If possible please also bring along your instruction manual if you still have it in case your camera has settings that are different to normal.
