Join practicing artist, Patrick Lam and learn basic brush strokes, brush loading techniques and use of Chinese ink and colours on rice paper through a series practical exercises before completing small paintings on a variety of themes – flowers, birds, fish and landscapes. Course is suitable for beginners and continuing students.

By the end of the day, Students will complete three Chinese painting of flower, bird or landscape. Students will be able to apply the Chinese brush strokes and techniques learned on the day to paint other similar subjects.
This course is suitable for anyone with an interest in Chinese Painting.
Please bring notebook and pen to the session. All painting material will be provided for you on the day. You are most welcome to bring any Chinese painting material that you might already have to this workshop.
This course is suitable for both new students, as well as those who have already some level of experience in Chinese Painting. New students can learn the basics, while the more experienced student is able to build on existing skills, for example, with various brush stroke techniques.
