This class is a combination of theory and practice with students working on various techniques and project.

Outcomes

This class provides a grounding in Botanic art with a view to encouraging students to further explore these techniques and subject matter at home.

Who would find this course useful?

This course is suitable for complete beginners, as well as for those who have some experience of painting or drawing who would like to explore a botanic art style. Continuing students are also welcome to attend to build on existing skills gained in previous Botanic Art studies.

What you should bring

Materials requirements:

Students are required to bring materials to this course, for all the basics (brushes, paints, paper, accessories etc) materials will cost approximately $60, though you may already own some of the items on the list. About Pat Winnett

Pat Winnett is a practising artist who completed her early studies in Queensland. She has many years experience of teaching watercolour and her works are represented in a number of private collections all over the world. Pat was a founding member of MacKay Art Society and the Hawthorn Art Society and also belongs to the Wildlife Artists Society of Australia.
