Develop and explore new painting techniques and skills that are imaginative, expressive and show an individual style in painting. Paintings can be abstract, stylised or realistic.

Build on present knowledge and develop skills and powers of observation.

Students will finish one or more paintings that incorporate coordination of ideas and individual expression.

MATERIALS REQUIREMENTS – PLEASE BRING TO CLASS:
Brushes: Bristle flat #10 $ #4, 1 sable or squirrel hair brush
Glass jar with lid, rag, Palette knife (medium), Palette ($2 shop, white ceramic)
1 Stretched Canvas or Canvas board approx. 40cm X 50 cm or bigger.
Your choice of acrylic or oil paint 40 ml tubes in the following colours:
Cadmium Red medium, Cadmium Blue medium, Cadmium Yellow medium, Black, White,
2 or 3 visual references of what you want to paint a picture of; one will be chosen to start painting from.

Anyone who would like to expand and improve upon the painting skills they presently have.
