Greek: Elementary 5 is an 18-hour course designed for beginners who wish to expand their learning of speaking, reading and understanding basic Greek used in everyday situations. It offers an insight into Greek culture. The content is presented in an accessible and non-threatening way and opportunities are constantly provided for students to communicate in Modern Greek

Communication Topics:

  • Talking about the past;
  • What you like doing and what you have to do;
  • Talking about what you can do.

Grammar:

  •  Consolidation of the declensions of adjectives and their different uses;
  •  Consolidation of the use of the ‘subjunctive’;
  •  Expansion on simple past tense with regular and irregular verbs;
  •  Introduction of regular verbs in past imperfect tense.

On completion of Greek Elementary 5 students will be:

  • Able to use simple and continuous past tense in order to refer and describe past everyday events;
  • Competent in saying what they like doing and what they have to do;
  • Competent in saying what they can do.

Greek: Elementary 4 or the equivalent of about 72 hours of study.

IF YOU HAVE NOT COMPLETED THE PREVIOUS LEVEL AT CAE, YOU NEED TO CONTACT CAE FOR A SKILL ASSESSMENT PRIOR TO ENROLLING.

N.B. CAE withdrawal policy does not allow for refund or transfer once the course has started in the event that the level of the class is not suitable.
